Police: Redding Man Posed With AK-47, Threatened Cops
Police apprehended a man on weapons charges after they say he made comments about shooting police officers.

REDDING, CT — Police apprehended a man on weapons charges after they say he made threats to officers.
Greg McGuiness, 37, of 10 Indian Hill Road in Redding, was arrested on a warrant after "posting photos holding an AK-47 assault rifle and making comments about shooting at police officers," according to Redding Chief of Police Mark O'Donnell.
McGuiness was charged with criminal weapon possession, reckless endangerment, negligent storage of a firearm, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, illegal possession of an assault rifle, threatening and breach of peace.

He was held on a $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Danbury Superior Court on July 31.
