Redding Fire & EMS Rescue People, Pooch, From Overturned Car
Redding firefighters and EMS crews rescued two motorists and a dog from the wreckage of a single car accident on Churchill Road.
REDDING, CT — Firefighters rescued two motorists and a dog from the wreckage of a single car accident eastbound on Churchill Road Saturday night.
The driver, Sunanda Sexena, 44, of Newtown, lost control of the car during a snowstorm and drove off the right side of the road into a ditch, according to Redding Police Chief Mark O'Donnell.
Crews from West Redding Volunteer Fire Department, Redding Fire & EMS Company, and Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company were able to extricate the people and the pooch after first stabilizing the car, which first responders found laying on its side.
