Redding PD Investigating 'Smash & Grab' At Local Businesses
A cash register was stolen from Pine Tree Garage in Redding, and later recovered.
REDDING, CT — Police are investigating a theft and multiple acts of vandalism involving downtown businesses.
In an email, Redding Police Chief Mark O'Donnell said a cash register was stolen from Pine Tree Garage at 63 Black Rock Turnpike in a "smash and grab." The register was recovered on nearby Meeker Hill Road.
There were also "attempted smash and grabs at Redding Wine Shop and Ridge Post Office," according to O'Donnell.

The incidents are still under investigation.
