Redding Police Welcome New Officer

REDDING, CT — The police have a new member.

Officer Brandon Lopiano was sworn in to the Redding Police Department on Monday.

Lopiano, a graduate of Brigham Young University, replaces Sgt. Chris McManus who retired in January. He comes to the RPD as a lateral transfer from the University of Connecticut Police Department.

A third generation police officer, Lopiano also serves on the National Guard. He will be field training with the department for the next 8-10 weeks, according to police officials.
