Redding’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

REDDING, CT – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, but in the Redding the show has only been canceled.

The Redding Historical Society had originally made the decision to delay their annual 4th of July Rock'n Roots Revival and fireworks display back in March, for non-virus reasons. But the RHS Executive Board recently made the decision to cancel the festivities.

"We had to do this regrettably because of town, state and federal social distancing requirements, to protect our own community and our musicians," RHS president Joe Bonomo told Patch.
