Severe Thunderstorm Watch Now in Effect for Weston, Redding and Easton

Breaking: Here's a look at what you can expect during this afternoon's spell of inclement weather.

WESTON, CT — Monday's weather will be anything but pleasant and summery, as the National Weather Service issued two weather watches Monday. In the early morning Monday, the service declared a Flash Flood watch lasting from 12 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday. On Monday Morning, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was declared from 11:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

Luckily, conditions seem to be drying out Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Monday: A slight chance of showers between 2pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2am and 5am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5am. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Low around 68. South wind 9 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
  • Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight.

  • Monday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 75 by 5pm. South wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 4am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Low around 66. Southwest wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
