Town Of Weston Publishes Coronavirus Update For March 19

Good afternoon. It is Friday, March 19, 2021 and this is First Selectman Christopher Spaulding with a coronavirus update.

As of March 18, 2021 we have had 22 new positive COVID test results, of Weston residents since our last outreach on March 12, 2021.

Connecticut is currently allowing people age 45+ to register for a COVID-19 vaccine

Last week Governor Lamont released a schedule for the vaccine rollout plan moving forward, the schedule is primarily age based and is as follows:

• March 19, 2021: Expands to age group 45 to 54
• April 5, 2021: Expands to age group 16 to 44

As a reminder COVID testing is available at area hospitals and urgent care facilities as well as at St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Facility in Bridgeport at 700 Main Street.
