Town Of Weston Publishes Coronavirus Update For May 14

Starting May 12, 2021 Connecticut is allowing all residents from the ages of 12 and up to be vaccinated.

As of May 13, 2021 we have had 5 new positive COVID test results, of Weston residents since our last outreach two weeks ago on April 30, 2021. http://wwhd.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Web-update-May-13-2021.pdf

To find a vaccine provider near you please visit the CT.gov Vaccine Portal or to register for an appointment on the telephone, call Connecticut’s COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Assist Line at 877-918-2224.

On May 13, 2021, the CDC released guidelines saying that fully vaccinated individuals can resume activities without wearing a mask except where required by law like public transportation, or indoor areas. Please see here for full details from the Governor’s office on this.

Residents should still report positive cases directly to the Westport/Weston Health Department http://wwhd.org/ the office line is 203 227 9571.

As a reminder COVID testing is available at area hospitals and urgent care facilities. Drive up testing available at Norwalk Community Health Center at Veterans Park, 42 Seaview Ave, Norwalk. No appointment or prescription required. All ages testing including pediatric. See here for more details

A Travel advisory is no longer in effect for Connecticut; however residents and travelers to Connecticut should follow travel-related guidance from the CDC and Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH).
