JBWA (Joel Barlow, Weston, Abbott Tech) Hockey Booster Club Week 6 players of the week
Each week, the JBWA hockey booster club features three of its athletes as the JBWA Players of the Week.
Teddy Blanchard
Position: Defense
Class: Senior
School: Joel Barlow High School
Ted followed in the footsteps of his three brothers and played youth hockey for the Ridgefield Lions. His hard work and dedication to his team saw him elected captain of his Bantam team prior to joining his high school team as a freshman. His determination and willingness to play well have transformed Ted into a four-year player who has consistently contributed to his team’s successes. He was named to the All-Conference Second Team in the 2019-2020 season and was elected Assistant Captain by his teammates for the 2020-21 season. Ted has consistently achieved academically, placing on the honor roll for most of his high school years. He has not decided on his future goals and is contemplating either college or the US Marines.
Sean Devine
Position: Forward
Class: Senior
School: Joel Barlow High School
Sean is a student at Joel Barlow High School and played his first year with the Joel Barlow Falcons and the last three with the JBWA Knights. Sean played a year of House League before starting high school hockey. Sean is currently undecided, but thus far has been accepted to both the University of Vermont and the University of Connecticut and will be studying Environmental Engineering. Sean has worked hard on and off the ice and will graduate Joel Barlow with a 4.0 GPA.

Henry Hoeffner
Position: Forward
Class: Freshman
School: Weston High School
Henry began his ice hockey career as a Mite playing for the Ridgefield Lions, and he is grateful for the opportunity to continue playing with the JBWA team for Coach Stearns and Coach Mallozzi. In addition to hockey, Henry plays drums in the Weston High School jazz and wind ensembles and is a regular volunteer at the Ridgefield Playhouse. He also spent much of the past year interning with Connecticut State Senator Will Haskell. Henry's hobbies include playing with his cat, Oreo, playing Call of Duty, and following the Rangers.
