Weston, Easton, Redding Ranked Among Safest Towns in CT

A comparison of crime statistics done by a company that sells security cameras ranks Weston as the second safest community in all of Connecticut, with Easton and Redding not far behind in fifth and sixth, respectively.

The list was put together by Safe Choice Security, a Jacksonville, FL-based company that also issued rankings for other states.

Only No. 1 Ridgefield received a higher safety rank.

Also on the Connecticut list (full list at the bottom of this article) were nearby Wilton (No. 4), Easton (No. 5) and Redding (6). Of the top 10 towns, eight were in Fairfield County.

In ranking Weston the second safest town in the state, Safe Choice noted that “This small city is home to major advantages for homeowners looking to get out in the country and enjoy a safer, small town part of the state. Primarily residential, Weston is an upscale, affluent community that Connecticut magazine has listed as the number one town of its size in the state... A comprehensive public safety program, headed by its own police force helps to keep Weston near the top of the safest cities in the state.”
