Young Woman Arrested for DUI after Crash

A car on Great Pasture Road struck a large rock, careened over to the other side of the road and smashed into a stone wall, nearly capsizing the vehicle, at 6 p.m. last Thursday according to the .

The driver, Britta Carlson, 19, of Diamond Hill Road, was arrested for DUI after blowing a BAC of “over four times the legal limit” for someone of legal drinking age, said Chief Douglas Fuchs of the Redding Police Department.

Police arrested Carlson for DUI, possession of alcohol by a minor, and failure to drive in the proper lane. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
