22 Dogs Found Living In Filthy Van: Wethersfield PD

The owner was arrested for animal cruelty.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Wethersfield Police removed 22 dogs and a macaw bird that were found living in a van.

Officers stopped the Ford Transit van for a motor vehicle violation Monday and found the operator had been living in the vehicle for several months, police said.

Officers found the vehicle was covered in garbage and animal waste.

The animals were transported to nearby shelters for further evaluation with the help of Rocky Hill and Newington Police.
