Born in Hartford on October 28th, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Dmytro and Katherine (Bednarz) Hrynchuk. After graduation, Anna worked as a proofreader for Case Lockwood and Brainard, a job she loved and took very seriously. Anna was known for her witty and somewhat sarcastic sense of humor which she maintained throughout her life. Anna loved UConn men and women's basketball, bingo, and her vegetable and flower gardens. Anna is survived by her sons, Peter of Hampton, and Robert and his wife Lisa of Newington; her brother Wesley and his wife Lydia of Florida; and nieces Andrea, Christine, Lori, Marcia, Martha and Sondra. Anna was a loving grandmother and also leaves behind her two grandchildren Tim of Wethersfield and Kristen Wood and her husband Brent of Windsor. Anna's husband, Peter, predeceased her in 1978 but remained the love of her lifetime. She was also predeceased by her brothers Walter and Michael.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Jerome Home who provided loving care to Anna and many acts of kindness to her family, especially Maria who called Anna 'Mama Luke'.
