DEEP's Draft Integrated Resources Plan Open For Public Comment

Two public hearings are scheduled for Jan. 14 on this assessment of Connecticut's future electric needs.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (“DEEP”) is pleased to share its recently released Draft Integrated Resources Plan (“IRP”): an assessment of Connecticut’s future electric needs that marks the first evaluation of pathways to achieving a 100 percent zero-carbon electricity supply. DEEP wants to hear from a wide range of stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and community groups and have developed the following resources to guide your participation in the public comment progress:

Written Comments: You may also send written comments to DEEP.EnergyBureau@ct.gov on or before February 15, 2021 at 4:00pm. There is no specific format for written comments, but please specify in your comments which section, strategy, or aspect of the Draft IRP you are referring to.

Public Hearings: At DEEP’s public hearings, we hear comments for consideration into the final document.
