Dogs May Be Euthanized After Being Found In Van: PD
Several of the 21 dogs found living in a filthy van may need to be euthanized, Wethersfield Police said.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Several of the 21 dogs found living in a filthy van during a Wethersfield traffic stop may need to be euthanized, according to police.
Police pulled over the van May 27 after it was seen swerving, said Lt. Andrew Power, police spokesman.
An officer asked for the driver's license and was overcome by the smell of urine and feces. The officer noticed at least nine loose dogs in the front portion of the vehicle.

All the dogs and a McCaw bird were removed the vehicle and taken to CT Canine in Newington for evaluation.
Driver Suzanne Eser, 59, of Peabody, Mass. was charged with cruelty to animals and misuse of a marker plate. She was released on a $1,000 bond. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Eser is due in court June 11.
