Zenobia Adgers, 78, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born in Winnsboro, SC on September 22, 1939, Daughter of Elliott and Johnnie Mae (Mitchell) Adgers, she was raised in Winnsboro, SC and lived in Charlotte, NC before moving to Harford as a young woman. Zenobia was a loving devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Zenobia had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1973 she gave her life to Christ, and was baptized In Jesus Name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. She was a self-taught seamstress, who created beautiful women’s suits.

Zenobia leaves to cherish her memory her three sons, Gregory Adgers (Dianna Pottenger) of Bloomfield, Ricky Adgers of Hartford, and Jeffrey Adgers Tulloch-Reid (Rosalind) of Middletown, her loving and devoted daughter Wanda D. Adgers of Hartford; two sisters, Barbara Minto of Hartford and Zenovia A. Gibson of Columbia, SC; a brother, Moses Adgers (Mamie) of New Britain; sister-in-law Mattie Adgers of Bloomfield, CT; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandson Brian Adgers; three sisters, Rosemary Foster, Sarah Adgers, and Arthurdena Adgers; four brothers, Willie J. Adgers, Elliott Adger, Richard Adgers, and Henry Holley. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 10-11 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 11 a.m., at the Lodge, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
