Officer-Involved Shooting Investigated In Wethersfield
A person was shot by police Saturday evening.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The Silas Deane Highway from Maple to Hewitt streets will be shut down for an extended period of time for an a police-involved shooting investigation, Wethersfield Police said.
Police were involved in a shooting around 6 p.m. and the investigation has been turned over to the New Britain State's Attorney's Office and State Police, according to NBC Connecticut.
One man was injured in the shooting after two officers attempted to stop a car, according to WFSB. The car stopped, but then took off. Officers shot when the car was stopped a second time.

It's the second police-involved shooting this week in Connecticut. A 22-year-old woman was shot in New Haven Tuesday. A Yale University Police officer and Hamden Police officer are on leave pending an investigation.
