Rep. Morin Congratulates Kell-Strom Tool on 75 Years

Rep. Russ Morin congratulated Kell-Strom Tool on their 75th year in business during a recent visit to the Wethersfield company's facility.

From the Connecticut General Assembly: Rep. Russ Morin (D-Wethersfield) congratulated Kell-Strom Tool on their 75th year in business during a recent visit to the Wethersfield company’s facility.

Rep. Morin presented the company, which has been in business since 1942, with a legislative citation and a proclamation from the Governor in recognition of this achievement. He also took a tour of the facility with Francis Kelly, President of Kell-Strom Tool, and Thomas Kelly, Sales Manager.

“I’d like to congratulate Kell-Strom Tool on this impressive milestone. They have been part of the fabric of our community for 75 years, and I wish them many more successful years in business,” Rep. Morin said. “Manufacturers are crucial to Connecticut’s economic wellbeing. One of my priorities as a legislator is ensuring we create a climate that helps our manufacturing industry continue to grow and thrive.”

Kell-Strom Tool manufactures aircraft service tools and ground support equipment. Kell-Strom is licensed by Pratt & Whitney Canada to support its entire line of turbine engine products, United Technologies Aerospace Systems (Hamilton Sundstrand) to manufacture propeller and accessory tooling, Champion Aerospace to manufacture spark plug tooling and engine ignition tooling, and is in a partnership with GE Honda Aero Engines to support their HF120 program.
