Music Among the Memorials Friday, July 28, 6:00 pm Free for All! Enjoy an evening of music at Cedar Hill with the bluegrass band Five in the Chamber. Voted Fan Favorite at the 2016 Podunk Bluegrass Festival, the band’s tight arrangements and unique harmony vocals bring a fresh interpretation to the bluegrass songbook. Bring blankets, chairs and picnic dinners for an evening to remember. (Rain Date: Saturday, July 29, 6:00 pm)

Civil War POWs, Saturday, July 29, 10:00 am Admission: $5.00; Members: Free. More than 175 Civil War soldiers, some of whom endured horrific conditions as prisoners of war, are buried at Cedar Hill. Evelyn Bollert leads visitors on a tour of the final resting places of prisoners of the Civil War and tells their stories of bravery, resilience and heartbreak. The tour will begin near the pond between Sections 2 & 10 – follow the signs once you enter the cemetery.
