Wethersfield Council Votes To Fire Police Chief

The council voted 6-1 to fire the long-serving police chief.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The Wethersfield Town Council has voted 6-1 to fire Police Chief James Cetran, FOX 61 reported. Cetran has been with the department for 47 years, 18 of those as chief.

Cetran agreed in January to retire in August 2021 after he was suspended last November for insubordination. However, he rescinded his decision to retire a few weeks ago.
