Wethersfield Holidays On Main Scheduled For Thursday
The event will be held Thursday night.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The 9th annual Holidays on Main will take place Thursday Dec. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event is hosted by the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce together with the Town of Wethersfield and is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants.

Main Street between Church and Center Street will be closed off at 4 p.m. Carol singing will begin at 5:45 p.m. by the tree at Main and Marsh Street. After opening remarks from Mayor Amy Bello, Santa will arrive by fire truck and the tree lighting will take place. Strolling entertainment at various locations along Main Street will include fire juggling at 5 p.m., Colonel Chester Fife and Drum, Sweet Adelines at the Main Street Creamery, and horse and wagon rides at Heirloom Market will be $1. The Winter Farmer's Market will be open near the Webb Barn, with many of your favorite vendors.
Horse and wagon rides will be offered for $1.
At 5 p.m. the doors to the Silent Auction at the Webb Barn will open. This year, the proceeds will be shared with the Town of Wethersfield Social and Youth Services Department. Also in the Webb Barn there will be a free wine tasting and a Craft Beer Garden. Several of the Main Street stores and restaurants will be open for business, and the Keeney Center will feature several decorated table top Christmas trees, a tag sale and a bake sale. Various vendors on Main Street will be offering refreshments and food.
