Wethersfield Mourns Loss Of Popular Teacher
A local high school teacher has died unexpectedly, according to a report.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — The community is mourning following the death of a popular Wethersfield High School teacher, The Hartford Courant reported. Andrew Nicholas taught English and was known for taking students around the world.
The school had counselors on campus to help students cope with the loss. Nichols was a 20-year veteran in the Wethersfield district and previously taught for five years in Windsor Locks.
Nicholas, often called "Mr. Nick," taught a variety of English and drama courses. Superintendent Michael Emmett told WFSB that Nicholas "certainly made his mark, was inclusive of everybody."
