Wethersfield Native Joins Murtha Cullina Law Firm
John H. Mutchler, a professional engineer, has more than 25 years of experience in energy generation.

From Murtha Cullina LLP: Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to continue the expansion of its Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Group with the additions of John H. Mutchler as a Partner and Elizabeth A. Galletta as Counsel.
Mr. Mutchler, a Professional Engineer (PE), has extensive experience with patent prosecution and Reexamination Proceedings, IP licensing, U.S. government contracting, copyright and trademark consulting as well as litigation relating to patent and trademark infringement in the Federal Courts. He formerly held executive and senior management positions with Northeast Utilities, ABB, and Combustion Engineering with responsibility for energy-related technology and research and development. He has more than 25 years of experience in energy generation including nuclear power, fuel cells and fossil power; environment issues and energy conservation; electro-mechanical devices; manufacturing, welding and metal fabrication; research and development; and due diligence and portfolio management. Mr. Mutchler received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He has his Masters of Science in Metallurgy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Masters in Engineering Management from Western New England University. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College. He is licensed to practice in Connecticut, in the U.S. Districts of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also an adjunct professor of law at Western New England University School of Law.
Ms. Galletta represents clients from a variety of industries in all aspects of intellectual property law. Her practice includes counseling on the procurement, maintenance and enforcement of intellectual property rights. She also has extensive experience on the procurement of patent rights in the chemical, biological, and mechanical arts. Ms. Galletta received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.S. in Genetic Engineering from Cedar Crest College. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
