Wethersfield Obituary: Beverly Boccaccio

Beverly Anne (Barlow) Boccaccio, of Westbrook and formerly Wethersfield, wife of Richard P. Boccaccio, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Stafford) Barlow. Beverly devoted her life to raising her family and her greatest joy was being surrounded by all of them.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Beverly will be forever missed by her husband Richard; four children, Diane Sabol and husband Michael of Rocky Hill, Richard Boccaccio, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Lyme, Jacqueline Cimini and husband P.J. of Rocky Hill and Christopher Boccaccio and wife Jeannie of West Hartford; 12 adored grandchildren and three cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her much happiness.

She enjoyed taking Jazzercise classes in Old Saybrook and attending Broadway shows. She loved her dogs and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy and Eleanor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday (June 13) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. The Mass will be celebrated by Beverly’s brother-in-law, Fr. Michael A. Boccaccio. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the Boccaccio Family Trust, c/o Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, 10 Columbus Blvd., 8th Floor, Hartford, CT 06106.
