Wethersfield Obituary: Georgette Sieklucki, 95

Condolences to her family and friends.

Georgette J. Sieklucki (Szymanski), 95, of Wethersfield, passed away on Monday, August 6th.

She was born June 14, 1923 in Boston Massachusetts to Helen (Goscinak)and Walter Szymanski. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred P. Sieklucki who died accidentally in 1959. A widow, who raised three children and was, in her words, “scared to death,” found the strength to carry on. She hung on to her home and opened it to grandchildren and great grandchildren as years went by.

She will be remembered by all as an individualist and free thinker who attributed her grit to her family in Boston, the Goscinak family who were smart, funny and larger than life. She was proud of her Polish roots and instilled appreciation of all the Polish contributions to the arts. She was particularly close to her grandmother Veronica Goscinak and her aunt Jenny Verney who lived on Etonia Street, Allston, MA., the epicenter of her beloved family.
