
Michael Charles Bonfiglio, 59, of Hartford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
He was born in Hartford on February 11, 1959, son of the late Salvatore P. and Ruth (Tingley) Bonfiglio. Mike attended the Morse School of Business, earned his Associate’s Degree and was an electrician and general contractor for many years.
While a student at Wethersfield High School, he was on the wrestling team where he earned several trophies and recognitions, he was a varsity football player and on the diving team. Mike always remained a big football fan, over the years he followed many of the professional teams. He also enjoyed boating and spending time at the beach.

Mike was a man of strong faith and he carried out his beliefs in his everyday life by always reaching out to others. Mike’s dogs held a special place in his heart, but most of all he cherished his time spent with his son and the company of his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his son, Christopher Bonfiglio and his mother Linda of Manchester; two brothers, Paul Bonfiglio and his wife Sarah of Essex and John Bonfiglio and his wife Karen of Glastonbury; two sisters, Terri Michanczyk and her husband Ray of Goshen and Marianne Oblas and her husband Patrick of Barnesville, PA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will leave at 9am on Monday from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish (St. James Church), 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 3pm – 6pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
