Wethersfield Produces Placewinners at State Open Track Meet

NEW HAVEN, CT — Wethersfield High School produced a pair of placewinning performances - both by the same competitor - at the State Open indoor track and field championships Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

George Stoughton placed second in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 10 inches. He also tied for sixth in the high jump, clearing 6 feet.

Danbury edged Hall to capture the boys team championship, while Greenwich easily outdistanced Danbury to win the girls title.
