Wethersfield Restaurant Announces Temporary Closure

Lucky Lou's Bar & Grill announced that it will be closed for the months of December and January.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Lucky Lou's Bar & Grill in Wethersfield is closing for the months of January and February due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NBC CT reported. According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, the temporary closure is an effort to keep the staff and community safe.

They plan to reopen in February.

The news comes shortly after Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford announced it would be closing until the spring.

The state has reported a total of more than 121,000 cases since March. A total of 2,672 new cases were reported Tuesday.

The coronavirus infection rate statewide jumped to 6.52 percent Wednesday, up from 5.88 percent Tuesday and 4.4 percent on Monday.
