26-Year-Old Accused of Sexual Assault of 2 Elderly Female Patients

A 26-year-old Danbury man is accused of sexually assaulting two elderly patients at a Wilton rehabilitation facility.

WILTON, CT — A 26-year-old nursing assistant is accused of sexually assaulting an 82-year-old woman and a 66-year-old woman at a rehabilitation and health care facility in Wilton, according to Wilton Police Lt. Det. Commander Stephen Brennan.

Police said Wilton Meadows Health Care Facility contacted them on Monday to file a complaint about inappropriate contact between Hunter Scott McGinty, 26, of Danbury, and an 82- year-old female patient. A co-worker reported that McGinty inappropriately touched the victim while working and police said McGinty is also accused of sexually assaulting a 66-year-old woman at the same facility in August and September.

McGinty was arrested for fourth-degree sexual assault for the incident on Nov. 14 and held on $7,500 cash bond. He was also charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault and was held in lieu of $32,500 cash bond.

He will appear in court on Nov. 17 for the above charges, police said.
