62-Year-Old Assaults Paramedics After DUI Arrest: Report

Wilton police arrested a 62-year-old Westport man after they said he assaulted paramedics.

WILTON, CT— Wilton police arrested a Westport man after police said he pushed a paramedic backwards into the ambulance after being pulled over for drunk driving, according to Westport News.

Gerard Gaspel, 62, faces charges of driving under the influence, assault on public safety personnel, interfering with an officer, second-degree breach of peace and failure to drive in the proper lane stemming from the Dec. 14 incident, the report stated.

Gaspel posted a bond of $10,000 bond and due court on Jan. 3.
