The Wilton Encore Club recently presented a check for $3300 to Wilton Interfaith Council, Inc. to be used to provide home heating assistance to Wiltonians in need.
In accepting the check for the Interfaith Council, Wilton’s Director of Social Services, Cathy Pierce, noted that there has been a two-thirds decrease in federal energy assistance to Wilton.
“We have more people in need this year but only have one-third of the money we had last year to meet that need. Contributions such as Encore’s will help us greatly”, said Pierce.
