Beatles Tribute Festival and Ben's Bells This Weekend in Wilton

Here are five things Wilton residents to need to know for the weekend of Aug. 2-4.

Here are a few things to know about Wilton from Aug. 2 through Aug. 4 to help you plan your weekend. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.

  1. The weather: The weekend forecast in Wilton is predicting sunshine on Friday, scattered thunderstorms on Saturday and partly cloudy skies on Sunday, with temperatures in the low 80s all weekend.
  2. See a Beatles tribute show: Danbury Fields Forever, a Beatles tribute festival, will be held at Ives Concert Park Saturday at noon. See the event page for more details.
  3. Visit an art gallery: Weir Farm National Historic Site is holding an exhibit titled "Impressions of Spring" through Oct. 31. The exhibit features oil paintings and ink drawings by modern-day American impressionist Dmitri Wright.
  4. Check out Ben's Bells: The new Ben's Bells studio in Newtown will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bells are colored ceramics that are randomly hung in public places with tags instructing whoever finds the bell to take it home with them and remember to be kind. You can make beads with clay or glaze beads at the studio to later be distributed in Connecticut. Visiting the studio is free, but you are asked for a $5 donation.   5. Enjoy some musical theater: "Honk! The Musical" will be performed Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Theatre Artists Workshop in Norwalk. The show is based on a Hans Christian Anderson story. Tickets are $15. Call 203-854-6812 for more details.
