Business Owners: Is Your Biz Listed on Patch?

Use Patch's directory of business listings to its full advantage! Make sure your business is listed and the information is up-to-date.

Patch's philosophy is to deliver hyper-local news about your community to the community! This includes providing a directory of local businesses for each Patch site. The directory is an easy way for your customers to find out more about you, your shop and your services.

Is your business listed on Patch? To find out, click on the "Business Listings" tab at the top of the home page, and search a category that fits your business such as "Beauty and Spas" or do a general search. Owners should all "Claim Their Listing" in order to make updates to the page. All of this is free.

Not listed? Click here to fill out a form on Patch's ZenDesk for a new business listing.

If your existing listing requires small changes (removing a fax number, adding Sunday hours, for example) you can make these changes yourself after you have "Claimed Your Listing" and become the Listing Manager.

Once you are the Listing Manager, follow these easy steps to edit your listing:

1. First, go to your local Patch and sign in (top right corner).

2. Browse to your listing under the Directory.

3. To update the photos at the top, hover over each of them with your mouse until "Add a photo" appears, then browse your computer for the file.

4. To update the group icon, scroll to the bottom of the listing and click "Settings/Edit." Choose Group Icon on the left to change the icon.

5. To add a note about your business, visit the main page for your listing and, at the bottom, click in the "Share" box and choose "Note" to post a note (rather than a review).

6. To update the details on your listing, scroll down just below the address information and click on "Settings/Edit."

There's more information included here (click on this link) in this easy 'Facts' page to guide you through it all.
