Can Thumbelina Find a Home for the Holidays?

This pup ha spent 550 days in a shelter and, despite a viral campaign, she still needs a family

Thumbelina is a small pup with a big personality, and her caretakers at Adopt-a-Dog in Armonk can’t imagine why the sweet 2-year-old has spent most of her entire life -- over 550 days -- in a shelter.

Neither can the folks at Wilton’s Canine Company, who launched a campaign in October to share the dog’s story via social media. Although that story has now been shared almost 4000 times. and there’s been an outpouring of online love for Thumbelina, she’s still without a family.

Says adoption coordinator Kelly Dugan of Adopt-a-Dog: “With her looks, personality and smarts, Thumbelina will make an awesome pet for some family. We can’t believe we haven’t found the right match for her yet.”
