DUI Man Crashes Porsche With Child Rider Into Trees: Wilton PD

Wilton police charged a man with DUI after he crashed his 2020 Porsche Taycan, with a child passenger, into some trees.

WILTON, CT — Police have charged a New Canaan man with DUI after they say he crashed his Porsche into some trees with a child in the car and fled the scene.

Jason Woerz, 42, of Cheese Spring Road in New Canaan, was driving a 2020 Porsche Taycan in the area of Deforest Lane and Forest Lane when he crashed the car into a group of trees off the shoulder of the road, according to a report from the Wilton Police Department. He fled the site of the crash with three unidentified passengers, one of whom was a child, police say.

Police charged Woerz with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, operation of a motor vehicle with a child passenger while under the influence of liquor or drug or while having an elevated blood alcohol content, failure to drive in proper lane, evasion of responsibility in operation of motor vehicles and failure to carry a driver's license. He was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 17.
