Man Crashes Into Police Car, Flees, Is Tasered: Wilton PD
A New York man tried to flee the Wilton PD first by car, then by foot after he crashed into a police cruiser.

WILTON, CT — Officers from the Wilton PD chased a suspect on foot after they say he crashed his car into a police cruiser.
Police say they approached Zahid K. Patwary, 37 of Woodside, NY, when he was stopped in the middle of Westport Road shortly after 7 a.m. on Saturday. Patwary tried to elude the police, crashed into a police car, and then tried to flee on foot onto Route 7. The suspect then attempted to get inside an occupied vehicle that was stopped for a red light, according to the police report.
Patwary did not follow verbal commands and was finally tasered, arrested, and driven to the Hospital, police said.

Police charged Patwary with reckless driving, interfering with police, and engaging in pursuit. He was released on a promise to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 3.
