Connecticut Weather: Friday Nor'easter Forecast Update
A strong storm is forecast to move near CT on Friday. There have been some changes to its track. Here are the latest developments.

Some good news for Connecticut concerning a powerful nor'easter that is forecast to impact our weather later this week. Both NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan and Fox 61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank said Monday that the latest data shows the storm having lesser impacts on Connecticut.
But they both stressed that things can change quickly and that the strong storm needs to be monitored closely. If the current track holds, it means Connecticut would see some rain and wind but nothing too unbearable. The National Weather Service on Monday dropped its Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Connecticut coast. A Hazardous Weather Outlook remains for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties.
The National Weather Service in its Hazardous Weather Outlook for northern Connecticut says, "Should rain become an issue, heavy at times, can not rule out inland flooding, especially along the coast during high- tide resultant of poor drainage. Multiple land and marine hazards possible, however this remains a low confidence forecast at this time. Greatest concern is across S-coastal New England including CT, RI, south and eastern MA."

Frank said the big question is whether the current trend continues or does it reverse. She said she is still "concerned for beaches facing the ocean with BIG waves, erosion, coastal flooding. ATTN: CRUISE SHIPS...DO NOT TRY TO SAY WE DIDN'T WARN YOU!"
Big coastal storm develops Friday. The question is, how close does it get? Today's trend has been farther south bringing some rain and a breeze, not too bad. A closer track (worst case) means heavy rain, wet snow hills, coastal flooding, high winds. pic.twitter.com/KLEje1DUUG

Promising set of midday computer runs with a lesser impact nor'easter. Today's GFS and European models are a bit weaker and farther offshore. Of course these are just 2 outcomes in a large range of possibilities. Still watching carefully. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/3o7OF9tYEA
