WILTON, CT — Police charged a Manhattan woman and DUI and evading responsibility with property damage after they say she crashed her car and fled the scene Saturday night.

Wilton police were called to the scene of a car crash in the area of Warncke Road around 10:20 Saturday night. A report phoned in to the police described a car driving off the roadway, striking several objects, and then fleeing the scene. At the scene, officers found a front bumper plate with a Connecticut registration affixed to it.

Police say they found a 2015 Honda Accord with the same registration parked further down the road.

"The entire front bumper and front wheel wells were missing, and the front right tire had fallen off of the rim," Patrol Officer Brandon Harris wrote in his report.

Harris said that he found Olivia C. Morawski, of 46th Street in New York City, sitting in the driver's seat. She exhibited "several signs/indicators of impairment" according to the police report, and failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard. Police say they found three White Claw hard seltzer beverages in Morawski's car, two of which were empty.

Due to the extent of the damage, the Honda had to be towed from the scene.

Police took Morawski into custody and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol, evading property responsibility with damage and failure to maintain the proper lane.

Morawski posted a $260 bond the next day and was scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on July 30.
