Danny developed an interest in the U.S. Air Force while in high school in Norfolk, Virginia, as a member of Civil Air Patrol. He then served our country honorably in the Air Force from 1969 until 1986, following in the military traditions of his father and older brother, the late James Irvin Allison. He loved living in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, where he enjoyed the outdoors and visiting the Grand Canyon. He also resided in Norfolk, Virginia, and Hampton, Iowa. When his parents began having health issues, he unselfishly left his beloved Tucson and returned to care for them in Hampton. He had a big heart and would give up anything for his family.
He loved gardening, reading, board games, the outdoors, old cars, motorcycles and cats. He had a wonderful sense of humor that was enjoyed by friends and family.
