Police Taser Wilton Man Accused Of Assaulting Officer

Police say they tasered a Wilton man who had become "hostile and combative."

WILTON, CT — A man police say assaulted one of their officers turned himself in at Wilton Police Headquarters Saturday on an outstanding warrant.

On Dec. 3, police went to the home of Nicholas Botticelli, 29, on 192 Range Road, after receiving a call concerning his well-being.

While they were there, police say Botticelli became "hostile and combative" towards them, and an officer sustained injuries.

According to their report, police tasered Botticelli in order to restrain him, before taking him to the hospital.

Botticelli was released on a $2,000 bond and scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on March 18.
