'Sopranos' Actor Struck By Car In Wilton

Joe Pantoliano was sent to the hospital after being knocked to the ground while walking in his Wilton neighborhood.

WILTON, CT — Actor Joe Pantoliano is recovering at his home in Wilton after being struck by car while walking around his neighborhood, according to Variety.

Pantoliano, 68, has appeared in films "The Matrix," "Bad Boys," "The Fugitive" and many others, but is best known for his portrayal of mobster Ralph Cifaretto in HBO's "The Sopranos," for which he won an Emmy.

Pantoliano’s agent told Variety his client was walking near his home when two nearby cars crashed into each other. One of the cars came sliding down the asphalt, hitting Pantoliano and knocking him to the ground. The actor was taken to the hospital with a gash on his head and other injuries.

A photo on Pantoliano's Instagram showed him giving the "thumb's up" sign, albeit with a gash on his forehead. The caption read: "Joey is home recovering. He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma... Thank you for all the well wishes and positive vibes. Keep them coming! We'll be reading them to him to help him get better!"
