Special Weather Statement Issued for Wilton Area

The National Weather Service says there is an elevated fire weather potential today due to warmer temps and a dry airmass.

WILTON, CT — It may have been late in arriving but at least spring decided to show up after all.

Monday’s temps would even pass for a great summer day. Hopefully, you can get outside and enjoy it.

There is a chance of some showers at the end of the week and into the first part of the weekend, but overall the forecast is a really good one.

One concern today is the National Weather Service says there is an elevated fire weather potential today due to warmer temps and a dry airmass currently, but winds will be lighter today, which is good news.

Here is the latest forecast details via the National Weather Service:

  • Monday: Sunshine, upper 70s in northern Connecticut and low 70s at the Shoreline.
  • Monday night: Slight shower chance, temps around 50 degrees.
  • Tuesday: Clouds give way to sunshine, temps into the mid 60s and a bit windy at times.
  • Wednesday: Sunshine, temps near 60 degrees.
  • Wednesday night: Lows around 40 degrees.
  • Thursday: Sunshine, temps low 60s near the Shoreline and near 70 inland.
  • Thursday night: Showers are possible late, temps near 50 degrees.
  • Friday: Showers/clouds, and temps in the mid 60s for the Shoreline and near 70 inland.
  • Friday night: Showers/clouds and temps in the upper 40s.
  • Saturday: Showers early give way to sunshine, temps near 60 degrees.
  • Sunday: Sunshine, low 60s.
