All the red has been drained from the state's coronavirus hot spot red zones, save for one eastern town.

CONNECTICUT — Just one town remains in the high infection rate coronavirus red zone, according to the latest data from the state Department of Public Health.
Putnam is Connecticut's lone hot spot, having reported 19 cases per 100,000 over the past 14 days.
Towns fall into the red zone when average daily cases exceed 15 per 100,000 population over a two-week average.

The color codes correspond to guidance from the state Department of Public Health about various activities.
Orange (10-14): Bloomfield, Coventry, Cromwell, East Hartford, Hartford, Ledyard, New Britain, Salem, Waterbury and Willington

Yellow (5-9): Ansonia, Barkhamsted, Beacon Falls, Bolton, Bridgeport, Bristol, Brooklyn, Cheshire, Clinton, Danbury, Derby, East Haven, East Lyme, Enfield, Glastonbury, Granby, Hamden, Killingly, Litchfield, Manchester, Meriden, Middletown, Monroe, Montville, Naugatuck, New Fairfield, New Haven, New London, North Haven, Norwalk, Norwich, Plainfield, Rocky Hill, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Suffield, Thomaston, Thompson, Tolland, Vernon, Wallingford, Waterford, West , aven, Westbrook, Winchester, Windham and Windsor
The remaining towns are categorized as gray, and have less than five cases per 100,000 population.
There were no COVID-19-related deaths reported this past week in either nursing homes nor assisted living facilities.

The number of Connecticut students infected with the coronavirus fell 106 cases in the past week, to 135, an 44 percent drop. The number of infections among school district staff also fell, by seven cases, to six.
The number of schools with students attending in-person fell by 36 percent, to 109.
