WATCH: Wilton PD Rescue Man From Fiery Crash

Wilton police officers rescued a man from a burning car last week and recently released a dash cam video of the crash.

WILTON, CT — Wilton police officers rescued a man from a burning car last week on New Canaan Road in Wilton and recently released a dash cam video of the crash, according to Wilton Police Lt. Stephen Brennan. The accident occurred the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Police pulled the man to safety as he was not able to get out on his own. His carA short time later fire crews arrived. The 26-year-old driver survived the one-car accident said they are investigating.

Fire crews were able to keep the fire under control fire extinguishers to suppress the flames and trying to get the driver out of the car, which was wedged between two trees. The man was conscious, but wasn't able to get out on his own.
