Weather Causes Road Closures in Wilton

WILTON, CT — The Town is warning that several roads are either partially or totally blocked, as a result of the Halloween storm.

Here follows the list of the current road closures as of 2:15 a.m. Friday:

• Old Mill Rd, closed near # 126
• Ridgefield Rd closed near Vista Rd (detour through Keelers Ridge Rd)
• Hurlbutt St closed between Cedar Rd and Pond Rd
• Pond Rd closed near Sturges Ridge Rd
• Cannon Rd closed near the intersection with Danbury Rd

The following roads are only partially blocked:

• Branch Brook Rd, near # 68
• Sharp Hill Rd, near Cherry Lane
• Sturges Ridge Rd, near # 79
• Drum Hill Rd, near # 107

Eversource and the Department of Public Works are currently working on the issue, and the list will be updated as the roads become passable.

Caution is recommended upon exiting driveways, residents are advised to watch for fallen branches and hanging wires that have not yet been detected or reported.
