When Will the Heavy Rain and S-N-O-W Start in Wilton?

The snow word is back in the forecast and we have the latest details on the rain and upcoming snow chance for Wilton.

WILTON, CT — This forecast has lived up to its billing thus far as Connecticut got pounded with much-needed soaking rain Tuesday and more is on the way later today. And, on Monday, the National Weather Service is currently forecasting the chance of snow and rain for Connecticut. It’s never dull as it pertains to the weather in New England.

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for all of southern Connecticut for patchy dense fog that will impact travel this morning. No such advisory was issued in northern Connecticut. As for the rain Wednesday, another inch or so is expected, which will help us make a dent in our severe drought conditions.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, “I'm expecting the heaviest rain later today to be north and west of I-84. Many of our higher resolution models are highlighting a zone of enhanced totals in Litchfield County.” WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “Another round of rain expected to move in this afternoon and tonight! Back to dry weather tomorrow right through the coming weekend!”
