Wilton Food Truck Festival

Big event is October 28th

After being forced to cancel this summer due to rain, the Wilton Food Truck Festival will now be held on October 28th at the Miller/Driscoll school complex at 217 Wolfpit Road, in Wilton. The Festival is being organized by The Teen Center of Wilton, with all proceeds going to Trackside, a safe alcohol and drug free facility where Wilton teens gather and socialize.

Nearly 20 food trucks are lined up for the event that will run from 11 am to 5 pm. American classics like hamburgers, hot dogs and barbeque will be offered as well as pierogis, falafel, southern fare and lobster rolls.

Also on hand will be rice and beans, Asian delicacies, greek sampling, Mediterranean, the meltmobile serving exotic grilled cheese, cheese steak sandwiches and much more.

Over 15 vendors will be selling their crafts and specialties including The Painted Cookie, Wanke’s Yankee hot pepper products, jewelry, signature style, molly and murphy dog treats and much more.

On the festival stage, live music will be performed all day. Opening at 11:30, The Defibrillators take the stage followed by KelleyAddison & Dave Sonatore. At 1:00 pm The Paul Green Academy will perform.

From 2 - 2:30 Matt Greene will entertain the crowd. At 2:30 Joni & The Keepers, led by Festival music coordinator Joni Wallace will bring their energy to the stage and the show will close with Captain Obvious at 4pm.

Superheroes to attend.

Kids will get a chance to meet some of their famous superheroes throughout the day. Super Ninja Turtle Raphael will appear from 12pm -1pm. Elmo from Sesame Street will be on hand from 1pm-2pm. Spiderman will swoop in from 2pm-3pm and Darth Vader will appear from 3pm-4pm.

“ We have a great day lined up”says Mark Ketley, Trackside Executive Director. “ There is something for everyone on the 28th. Bring the entire family for a great time.”

The full lineup of trucks is: kona ice, bumskis, greek style grill, rice and beans, Wilton Deli, SWAT, pierogies on wheels, Hapa Food Truck, bubble and brew, szabo seafood, meltmobile, mamouns food cart, taste of grill, carmelas italian kitchen, drewbaQ, fork in the road, m and m steaks.

Vendors attending are The Painted Cookie, Molly and Murphy, Beardsley Fine Framing, crystal jewelry, name it creations, little red pennies jewelry,confidently posh skin care, signature style, tammys crafty designs, teachart2me, custom built inc, sharp ideas,p2p food pantry on wheels, and chile king.
