Wilton Man Sexually Assaulted Woman In Norwalk, Cops Say

Norwalk police said that the incident took place last November at the Roodner Court housing complex.

NORWALK, CT — A 33-year-old Wilton man was arrested on a warrant by Norwalk police on Sunday in connection with a 2019 sexual assault case, according to authorities.

Michael Crittenden, of Village Court, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, public indecency and first-degree trespassing in connection with the November 2019 incident, which police said took place in the Roodner Court housing complex on Ely Avenue in Norwalk.

Police launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from a woman who said that she was sexually assaulted by Crittenden.

"During a car ride Crittiden touched the victim sexually against her will while inside of a vehicle," Norwalk police said. "The victim told Crittenden to get out of the car and as he exited, he then pulled his penis out of his pants and waved it around calling her names."

Crittiden was on the property of the Roodner Court housing complex at the time, from which he is prohibited.

Norwalk police obtained a warrant for Crittenden's arrest and took him into custody on the 31st. He was held in lieu of bail of $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 26.
