Wilton Police: DUI Woman Crashed Car Into Pole
Police say the New Canaan woman crashed her car into a utility pole shortly before midnight on Tuesday.

WILTON, CT — Police charged a New Canaan woman with DUI after she crashed her car on Tuesday night.
First responders to the scene of the accident near 31 Deforest Road at 11:55 p.m. found a 2012 Subaru Outback crashed into a utility pole. Police say the driver, Katherine Marschalk, 38, of Soundview Lane in New Canaan, failed to perform a field sobriety test to the standard, and was taken into custody.
Marschalk agreed to submit to a breath test twice, which indicated blood alcohol content levels of 0.18 and 0.17.

Police charged Marschalk with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and failure to maintain proper lane. She posted a $260 bond and was scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on July 21.
