Wilton Police Nab Man For DUI, Reckless Driving
The 911 caller forced the reckless driver to stop, with his truck, while driving in front of him, according to police.

WILTON, CT — Police charged a Norwalk man with reckless driving and DUI on Tuesday.
Wilton police received a report of a car crossing over two lanes of oncoming traffic while traveling southbound on Danbury Road, near the intersection with Ridgefield Road, shortly before 9 p.m.
The 911 caller had been able to position his truck in front of the erratically driven car and successfully force the driver to stop north of the intersection. The caller then took the key from the stopped 2007 Nissan Murano and remained on scene until police arrived, according to their report.

Police say that when they inspected the car, they found Gregorio Jimenez, 49, of Melbourne Road in Norwalk, sitting alongside a half-full can of alcoholic beer in the cup holder.
Jimenez exhibited "several indicators of impairment," according to the report. Police say Jimenez was incapable of performing the standardized field sobriety tests, which were marked "not performed to standard." His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.2055.

Jimenez was charged with reckless driving and DUI, and released after posting bond. He is scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on July 30.
